ImaginaXium is a school wide initiative for students and staff to promote, support and recognise innovation. In 2013, the programme was been expanded to include about students and teachers from partnering schools in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
During Ideas Week, staff and students contribute suggestions and proposals. The top three ideas will be selected to be pitched to the school and a panel of judges. The ideas are judged on creativity, feasibility, scale of impact and clarity and the results determined by SMS voting.
Some previous winning student ideas are a design for a device to charge handphones using solar and kinetic energy and vending machines for school ties, badges and other stationery. The top idea receives funding from the Lee Foundation to help prototype the idea.
As part of ImaginaXium, students hear from companies such as 3M on their innovation processes as well as participate in industrial attachments opportunities.
