Selection Criteria

Find out if you meet the criteria to apply for this sports scholarship as a Year 5 ACS(I) IB student with national-level sporting achievements.

The applicant:

  • must be a Year 5 student enrolled in ACS(I)’s IB Diploma Programme

  • must be of good character & conduct has represented Singapore/NSA in the Year 2025 and/or 2026 in regional or international sporting competition/s (minimally ASEAN or Asian level) recognised by the relevant national sports associations (NSAs);

  • is formally endorsed by his/her National Sports Association (NSA) as a high-performance athlete on a pathway towards representing Singapore at Major Games (e.g. SEA Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, Commonwealth Youth Games, or equivalent) during his/her time in ACS(I).

  • must have his/her application endorsed by the relevant national sports associations


*NSA must handle the sporting aspect for the student-athlete

  • Submit student-athletes’ training plan and competition plan when requested.

  • Appoint preferably a high-performance manager as point of contact with school.

  • Manage and monitor the sporting development of student-athlete.

  • Ensure that student-athlete adhere to the training and competition plans and the terms stated in the given plan.

  • Take corrective actions to address any major changes to student-athlete’s training and competition plans, as part of the role in monitoring the sporting development.
