The Pathfinder programme aims to encourage Year 1 and 2 students to explore different interests, uncover their passion and talents and through the process, equip them with future ready skills. Most of the courses within the programme will be hands-on and creativity based.
The objective is to provide broad-based, dip stick experiences for foundational year students to explore their interest before focusing on developing deeper skills in the master classes to be offered by the Trailblazer programme in Years 3 and 4.
Over two years, students will offered a spread of modules covering all three key themes:
- Digital Maker (Example: Robotics, Coding, Website Design, Digital Media)
- Maker (Example: Coffee Art, Fashion Design, Origami, Leather craft)
- Entrepreneur (Example: Business plan writing, accounting, marketing, market analysis)
Students will select one track each term to explore over 8 weeks. Students will be briefed on 11 May on the course selection process.
Collectively the Pathfinder (Year 1 and 2) and the Trailblazer (Year 3 and 4) programme prepare ACSians to develop the skills and mindsets to thrive in a changing world. The programmes encourage creativity, risk-taking, and collaborative relationships.
